Nike releases new Air Max 90 documentary.

Following last week’s Air Max Day, Nike have released a special documentary entitled ‘The Story of Air Max: 90 to 2090’, a short film documenting the silhouette’s 30th anniversary.

The film has been created to tell the story of the Air Max shoes’ universal impact and rule-breaking legacy.

The film features designers that were involved in creating the latest addition to the Air Max family – the Air Max 2090, as well as music legends like DJ Clark Kent and Dizzee Rascal. The colourful cast talk about the Air Max 90 moments that have made the trainer the cultural icon that it is today.

The short documentary, dubbed “The Story of Air Max: 90 to 2090,” runs for over 24 minutes long and kicks off by giving Air Max fans insight into how the Air Max 2090 came to fruition, which borrows design cues from the Air Max 90 as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.

As the film progresses, a panel of the respected designers, artists, and cultural icons explore the universal impact the franchise has had on sneaker cultures across the globe.
